Community Voices - Board Members

Eddie Graham is a magistrate on the Newcastle bench and is also involved with St Michaels Parish Committee, New Deal for Communities, Grainger Park Residents Association and Neighbourhood Renewal Sub Group. Under the Newcastle New Deal for Communities, I act as Vice Chair of the Health Theme group and also chair the steering grop for a New Deal project 'The Handyperson Scheme'. I regularly attend ward sub committee meetings putting forward both my own views and thos of the Grainger Residents Association on matters affecting the community. I am a member of the Elders Council which keeps me up to date with matters affecting the older members of the community. I come from a nursing background from which I have recently retired after 42 years. I regularly go dancing two or three times a week, both ballroom and sequence, and also go walking once a week with the over 50's group which is supported by 'Search' Benwell.
Susan Tone sits on the Management Committee of Lemington Community Centre, Excutive member of Together We Can Manage and is Vice Chair of the Outer West Area Forum. I am one of the community voices for the Health Partnership on the Executive board and became interested in the community in 1994. In recent years I have focused on Health.
Linda Williams is involved with Aspire (Byker Hill Partnership) and Women Away. I live and work in the East End of Newcastle and am married to Steve with two daughters Tanya and Natasha. I wanted to be part of something that gets peoples views put forward to help improve their health and their communities. I enjoy walking in the mountains!
Community Voices - Deputies
Nicholas Fray is involved with Friends of the Earth, Newcastle Healthy City Project, Transport 2000 (Northumbria) and BAN Waste. I work with a number of environmental, health and transport related projects and became involved with the community voices to be part of improving services and standards. I would encourage more to get involved in generating greater social and economic equality, prosperity and benefits to the widest community.
